Foreign companies are opening offices on the territory of Ukraine with the aim of developing trade and economic ties with Ukrainian enterprises, the development of the Ukrainian market for further expansion of its activities.

A foreign company representative office is a separate subdivision of a foreign legal entity which is located and represents the interests of the parent company on the territory of another country.

For business in Ukraine, all foreign organizations should register representation.

Registration of representative offices of foreign companies is carried out by the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine. The documents for accreditation should be submitted no later than six months from the date of their issuance in the country of the foreign company. By results of consideration of documents the Ministry of economic development decides on the registration of a foreign company or refuses to open. The budget of hiring a professional lawyer for registration is incomparable with the risk of delaying the process. Representation of a non-resident is considered open from the date of registration.

A foreign company is issued a certificate of registration, which shall include: the ordinal number in the register of representative offices; the official name of the foreign company; the number of foreigners-employees; location of offices and its branches.

If the representation of a non-resident to conduct business on the territory of Ukraine on behalf of the company, it is put on the account on the GFS for its location.

Foreign entity to open a representative office, with no intention to carry on business activity on Ukrainian territory, submits to the Ministry the following documents:

The statement with the request to register a representative office. The statement is made in any form.

It must be indicated:

the name of the foreign company;

the company's location in the country of origin;

data on means of communication (telephone and Fax);

date of establishment of the foreign company;

locality in which the representation;

the number of foreigners that will work;

the legal form of the foreign company;

the scope of activities of the foreign company;

the number of employees of the foreign company;

name of the Bank with indication of number of current accounts;

the purpose of opening a representation;

sphere of activity;

information on business relations with Ukrainian partners;

prospects of development of cooperation.

All documents shall be notarized at the place of issue, legalizers and accompanied by a translation into the Ukrainian language.
